Library Square
Location: Vancouver , B.C.
Client: Vancouver Library Board
Objective: Identify and secure the best site to accommodate a new central public library in a cost effective manner
Role: As a senior land development consultant with Moodie Consultants Ltd., Steve Zuliani served as the lead consultant to complete the site selection study.
Result: After researching and evaluating all potential sites within a 55 block area of downtown, the potential sites were narrowed down though an iterative process to four sites.
A second phase of the work involved a detailed financial analysis of each of the four sites looking at site potential, development costs, funding sources. The recommended site was acquired and the award winning Library Square was completed in 1995.
